2014 Finances are up!

Another year has come to a close and with it come the joys of IRS reporting. The best part of all these spreadsheets is the rare opportunity to let these numbers tell me stories about how we’ve grown, or not,  think about whether or not that growth has been in the right directions,  see where we’ve made mistakes and how they’ve been corrected. STUDENT BLOG: The Khmer Rouge’s Impact on The Education Sector In Cambodia

Year in Photos

Pedal Power Excitement!

GET REAL: A Few Thoughts as I Move Back to the U.S.

TEACHER BLOG: My Take on PLF’s New Lego Program

For a long time, the children in Cambodia never knew “what is technology?” Especially the children in the countryside remote areas, they never played the toys or the remote control cars etc. All these things, I and other children never played before. But now at Tchey School we just had a new technology called “Lego Education” that the children in that area can come to play or join with the teacher who has training with a group of people came from National Instruments, which partners with LEGO to make the software for the LEGO WeDo and LEGO MINDSTORMS products. STUDENT BLOG: Respect Parents

Our parents are the people who give us our life and are our first teachers.  When we were born we were  like a blank page of paper. Our parents are our first teachers who teach us to eat, to  walk and to speak. They are the people who always feed us until we grow up. STUDENT BLOG: Fishing Tools in Cambodia

 My village is a Khmer village which uses traditional fishing methods. Both men and women fish using a method called “TRU” in the Khmer language. This is an old method using bamboo baskets which are pushed into the water and covered by it. The fish swim into the basket but cannot get out. (more…)
